Mirror’s Edge – “Just free running across the roofs. It is simply amazing. You really feel like you are in the game.” – 8.5/10

God of War: Chains of Olympus – “This is a fantastic game which combines killer gameplay and bloody combos to make one of the best PSP games available.” – 9.5/10

Killzone 2 – “The shooting is solid and feels really good; all the weapons are meaty and feel like your firing and actual weapon” – 8.5/10

Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune – “Uncharted feels like one hell of an adventure.” – 9/10

Grand Theft Auto IV – “It has an amazing story combined with just as amazing gameplay.” – 9.5/10

Resident Evil 5 – “No longer is it scary and full of atmosphere but instead it is full of shootouts and great action scenes.” – 8.5/10

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars – “It feels more like San Andreas and Vice City where it wasn’t about being realistic but when it was about being over the top and incredibly fun” – 9/10

Noby Noby Boy – “It doesn’t need to rely on other genres of gaming and it is a completely different experience from every other game out there.” – 7/10

Bionic Commando “It has its flaws but these are overlooked by a really good single player and experience as a whole.” – 8/10

Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway I also need to praise the way that the story doesn’t glorify the War like every WWII game out there and manages to show it for what it is. Some of the scenes are quite brutal and so is the gore. – 7.5/10

Portal – “Though it may be short, it never ceases to entertain and provide you reasons to keep on playing through an amazing experience which covers portals, computers and cake.” – 9/10

The Darkness – The Darkness had me hooked from start to finish. It really is a spectacular game which has so much more than most traditional FPS’. It has great gameplay but is also a really cinematic, immersive experience with an amazing story and great characters.” – 9/10

The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark AthenaEscape from Butcher Bay is one of the greatest FPS’ of all time and is definitely the highlight of the package. Assault on Dark Athena may not be as good but still manages to be very entertaining and a very welcome addition to the package.” – 9/10

Bionic Commando Rearmed“Fans of the original game will be provided with an amazing game that fits their nostalgia requirements whilst newcomers will be provided be a completely new experience that will blow them away.” – 9/10

Bioshock – “What makes Bioshock so different is the amazingly crafted world, the fantastic art style, the characters and plenty more. From start to finish Bioshock is nothing short of incredible.” – 9.5/10

Tomb Raider: Underworld – “It’s still a good game though, it’s not amazing and it has its flaws but it’s still worth playing. The story is very enjoyable and the platforming and puzzles are done really well.” – 7/10

WET “It definitely could have been improved and a few tweaks here and there would go a long way but it’s just so much fun. It captures the grindhouse feel perfectly with it’s over the top story and gameplay along with a great selection of music that makes the game what it is.” – 7.5/10

Batman: Arkham Asylum“However Arkham Asylum turned out to be good, very, very good. Not just for fans of the Dark Knight himself though, even if you’re just a fan of action/adventure games there is something here for you.” – 9/10

Halo 3: ODST [Guest – SG] – “So, overall this is a great package from Bungie and fulfils its role as a huge add-on to the stellar Halo 3 with enough new and traditional elements to mix things up, creating a campaign and multiplayer experience that is a joy and thoroughly compelling throughout” – 8.5/10

Trine – “It takes the genre and makes it something very special, not by adding any amazing features but through the cleverly designed setting, the charm and some very interesting gameplay ideas.” – 9/10

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – “Naughty Dog know how to make a sequel. With Uncharted 2 they really outdid themselves by making an excellent adventure from start to finish. Everything about the game has been refined so it excels in every area.” – 9.5/10

Halo Legends: The BabysitterThe Babysitter is a very enjoyable anime. It fits in well with the Halo universe and has been animated very well. Fans of the game will no doubt love it due to the music, references and seeing the universe from a different perspective.” – N/A

Call of Duty 4: Modern WarfareCall of Duty 4 really does raise the bar. In a generation filled with shooters it may not be that fresh but when a game provides an experience that is completely different from the previous games in the particular series and trumps most of its competitors then it definitely deserves credit.” – 9/10

Prince of Persia – “Despite it having some flaws, it’s a very enjoyable experience that looks absolutely amazing and has a brilliant ending.” – 8/10

Valkyria Chronicles “It is really deep and will have you engaged in the story and in love with the characters for every second of play. Over the space of thirty hours it manages to provide a role playing experience that almost revolutionises the Strategic RPG genre and there is nothing like it this generation.” – 9.5/10

Halo Legends: The Duel“The battles just keep on getting bigger and bigger as it goes on, with the battle before the duel itself being fantastic.” N/A

Halo Legends: The Package – “The first part is good but the second part is where The Package excels. As soon as the bubble shield fades, the shit hits the fan and it goes from good to great.” – N/A

Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier “High Impact Games add enough new content to make the game play well but keep it similar enough to capture the charm of the other games. It may be short but it’s a must for Jak and Daxter fans and a solid platformer for fans of the genre.” – 8/10

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 – “It’s most likely that you’ve already got Modern Warfare 2 and don’t need to me to tell you to get it. You’ve probably finished the over the top, exciting and very fast paced campaign and made your way on to the excellent, in depth multiplayer mode.” – 9/10

Resistance: Fall of Man “The campaign is fun and enjoyable, even if it rarely amazes players. Multiplayer wise it is great too with some frantic modes and maps. Despite the characters not being up to much, the artistic design and innovate weapons bring the experience up as a whole.” – 7.5/10

The SaboteurThe Saboteur, however, is the superior game due to well designed world, varied gameplay, interesting plot and Sean Devlin, all of which flow well together and make for an extremely fun game which may just be Pandemic’s swansong.” – 8/10

iSamJackson “At the press of a button you can make Samuel L. Jackson unleash God like sounds consisting of one-liners, insults and witty remarks. Of course, with over 150 different lines, fans of Sam himself (Which should consist of everyone on the planet) will be amused for quite a while.” – *****

Assassin’s Creed “Despite Assassin’s Creed doing many things wrong it also does many things really well. The actual gameplay mechanics are all really good but the poor mission structure tends to bring it down” – 7/10

Assassin’s Creed II – “With extremely polished gameplay; a captivating story; a highly detailed world with beautiful visuals, Assassin’s Creed II is an amazing game. Ubisoft have listened to the fans and solved every problem whilst adding loads of variation to ensure that the experience is fantastic for both fans and haters of the original. This is how to do a sequel.” – 9.5/10
