More EA Soundtracks On Their Way

January 10, 2010

EA Recordings have already brought us plenty of EA game soundtracks including The Sims, The Saboteur and Mirror’s Edge. Now, they plan to bring us three more soundtracks which are Mass Effect 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Dante’s Inferno. Judging by the past releases, these soundtracks most likely be released digitally via places like iTunes.

First to be released is Mass Effect 2. This soundtrack will be released on the 18th of January despite the full game not coming out until the 29th (UK) of the same month. It boasts two discs worth of music and clocks in at just under two hours.

After that the soundtrack for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be released on the February 1st and the actual game comes out on the 2nd of March. It is significantly sorter than the Mass Effect 2 soundtrack, lasting just over 20 minutes.

Last but not least is Dante’s Inferno. The soundtrack will be released on the 8th of February, one day before the game. Like Mass effect 2, it takes up 2 discs but is a little shorter and lasts for just under 90 minutes.

I think it’s great that developers are starting to realise that people will buy game soundtracks. It would be good if they were released physically too though, just so I can add to my collection.
